FACTORS AFFECTING WOMEN’S MOTIVATION IN USING TUBECTOMY CONTRACEPTION METHOD IN DUKUHTURY VILLAGE BUMIAYU SUB REGENCY BREBES REGENCY Nur Khikmah, Atun Raudotul Ma’rifah, Siti haniyah Stikes Harapan Bangsa Purwokerto Email :atunraudotulmariah@gmail.com Tubes tied is a voluntary surgical procedure to stop a woman’s fertility permanently. The reason for the acceptors to choose tubectomy was due to the failure of the previous family planning methods. Theirs ages are no longer young but still fertile, they have got enough children and on the consideration of economic factors, education and health, including disease prevention. The general objective of this research was to identify what factors are affecting the motivation of women using tubectomy contraceptive methods in Dukuhturi village, Bumiayu District, Brebes Regency in 2011. This research was a quantitative descriptive study with cross sectional approach, the population was all women who conduct tubectomy in Dukuhturi village, Bumiayu District, Brebes regency. There were 98 people. In this study sample was 79 respondent using purposive sampling. Collecting data referring to the questionnaire. The data analysis was univariate, bivariate, and the correlation test with a chi-square method. This analyse is to see results showed that age (p = 0.782), parity (p = 0.000), economic (p = 0,132), education (p =0,020), previous contraception (p = 0,447), and health status (p =0.370). based on multiple linear regression analysis showed parity factor (p = 0.019), educational factors (p = 0,001), previous contraceptive factor (p = 0,038). The conclusion was the most dominant factor affecting the motivation of women using contraception methods was a factor tubectomy education, parity, and previous contraception.
